Kurt, I finally got hold of Avengers Assemble volume 5. It contains your 'Kang invades Earth' storyline. Thank you. Thanks for doing what you always do... reminding us that these heroes, even the iconic ones whom we all 'know', can make human decisions and human mistakes and want some simple human things just like us. They just happen to have powers and operate on a bigger stage. And some of them have powerful ideals.
And thank you for attaching importance to regular folks, even in the midst of Earth-shattering alien invasions. And for accounting audits of heroes. And what you did with Hank Pym, bringing him back to relevance with the help of an enemy.
I always think of Astro City as my favorite example of you doing this, keeping heroes real and human, but this may be my new favorite example.
